What if your research could help feed astronauts on Mars — and improve farming here on Earth?
Flinders University is offering a fully funded PhD scholarship through the ARC Centre of Excellence in Plants for Space. This program is part of a national research effort exploring how plants can support long-term space missions, while also helping solve sustainability challenges back home.
As a PhD candidate, you’ll receive a tax-free stipend of $33,990 per year for up to 3.5 years. You’ll work alongside leading scientists, use advanced research facilities, and contribute to world-first discoveries in space agriculture and plant biology.
This opportunity is ideal for students with a background in plant science, molecular biology, biotechnology, genetics or related fields.
Applications are now open.
